The Czech Accreditation Institute, Public Service Company, National Accreditation Body, was established by the Government of the CzechRepublic. It provides services to state and private organizations in all fields of accreditation in conformity with valid legal regulations. The principle of a uniform European accreditation system, formed by national accreditation bodies working in conformity with uniform rules and performing accreditation according to defined internationally recognized standards, is based on the EU position as defined in the Global Conception of Testing and Certification.
CAI provides unambiguous, objective and independent assessment of competence (accreditation) of the following entities:

• Certification bodies performing the certification of quality management systems, occupational health and safety management systems, information security management systems, food safety management systems, environmental management systems (according to ISO/IEC 17021:2006)
• Other areas (see the CAI web page)

CAI is a member of international organizations (EA and IAF) and signatory of the multilateral agreements of EA (at the European level) and IAF (at the worldwide level) on mutual recognition of results of accreditation. This issues guarantee professional level of work and approach of CAI.

SNAS – Slovak National Accreditation Service

Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) is a state grand organization with the independent legal personality. SNAS performs as national accreditation body in Slovakia, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021:2006. According to the act no. 264/1999 about technical requirements on products and about conformity appraisal, Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic determined the Slovak National Accreditation Service as an exclusive accreditation body in the Slovak Republic.

Slovak National Accreditation Service makes the accreditation according to the generally binding legal regulations of the Slovak Republic, Slovak technical standards, international technical standards ISO/IEC, standards of European Union and documents of international and regional organizations, mainly the European Organization for cooperation in accreditation (EA), international global organization for cooperation at the accreditation of laboratories (ILAC), international accreditation forum (IAF) and regulations of OECD about correct laboratory practice.

Defence Standardization, Codification and Government Quality Assurance Authority with the residence in Trenčín is the body of government administration and it was established on 1.5.2004 on the basis of act No.11/2004 on defence standardization, codification and government quality assurance of products and services for the defence purposes.

• works out the conception of government auality assurance a national quality program in the operation of the Defence Department
• performs duality audits and quality supervision in the Slovak Republic
• issues certificate of quality and completeness of product and agreement certificate
• Prepares the proposals for signing of bilateral agreements about mutual acceptance of government quality assurance with the corresponding NATO organs, corresponding organs of NATO members and corresponding organ sof other states
• leads evidence of government quality assurance and evidence of enclosed agreements
• signs the agreements about government quality assurance performance
• following the bilateral agreements about mutual acceptance of government quality assurance it coordinates fulfillment of government quality assurance tasks in cooperation with corresponding NATO organs, corresponding organs of NATO members and corresponding organs of other states
• keeps the evidence about government quality assurance and evidence about enclosed agreements
