ISO/TS 16949

International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JAMA) with support of technical commission ISO/TC have prepared the document ISO/TS 16949 to eliminate repeated certification audits in car industry (these have been conducted according to specific standards of individual automotive associations, for example: QS 9000, VDA, and so on before issue of ISO/TS 16949).

ISO/TS 16949 Quality management system – individual requirements to use the standard ISO 9001:2008 in the car and spare parts production companies

Provides joint access to the quality management system in the car and spare parts production companies. It includes all requirements of ISO 9001 standard and adds various additional, demanding requirements, mainly from the scope of risk analyze, management of measuring systems and regulation of processes.

Certification according to standard ISO/TS 16949 is necessary requirement of entrance into the car industry.
